When the chip runs diagnostics routine in our application, it reports motor impedance from DIAG_Z_RESULT in 0x03 register. When we test the ability to detect open circuit, the content of DIAG_Z_RESULT read back is either 0x00 or 0xFF. The DIAG_RESULT bit from 0x00 register is not set during running diagnostics routine when no load is attached. My question is what is the expected value read from DIAG_Z_RESULT when no load is attached to OUT+ and OUT-? Thanks.
