Hi,

I have been asked to develop a circuit for driving a Piezo Fan Blade with the following spec

Input Voltage: 110±20% V AC
Resonant frequency fr: 50 Hz ±2%
Static capacitance Cs: 17nF±20%@ 120Hz/1V

We want to drive from a DC supply - 12V or 5V.

I was looking at the DRV2700 but wondered whether there might be a better suited part available that could be recommended?

Hi Howard,

The DRV8662, DRV2667, DRV2665, and DRV2700 devices are the closest drivers for this application. The DRV8662 is a commercial grade device that integrates the 105V boost converter with an amplifier to produce 70 VAC. The DRV2667/5 both have the same analog components as the DRV8662 but with a digital front end. The DRV2700 is an industrial version of the DRV8662. Unfortunately, we can't achieve 110 VAC with any of our current piezo drivers.
