DRV2624: What is the Closed-Loop architecture?

Closed loop refers to the ability of the device to sense back the actuator behavior and optimizes its performance. It enabled some features such as failure detection, automatic resonance tracking and reporting (for LRA actuators), automatic level calibration, accelerated startup (overdrive) and braking, resistance based diagnostic, among others. There is detailed information of each feature in the DRV2624 data sheet.
The advantage is that the actuator performance is optimized.
