DRV2605L: Resolution, bandwidth, output swing limitations

Hello,

I have the following questions about DRV2605L:

- What is the resolution of the PWM, analog, and audio input modes?

- What is the output bandwidth of the DRV2605L driver?

- What is the output swing limitation of the driver?

    Hi Jon,

    1. The resolution can be with 7-bit or 8-bit depending on the setting for BIDRI_INPUT (register 0x1c).
    2. In closed-loop mode, the output will be at the f0 of the LRA. In open-loop mode, there is a 7-bit register (0x20) to set the frequency that is based on this equation: LRA period (us) = OL_LRA_PERIOD[6:0] × 98.46 μs. You can convert to frequency. This device was designed for the haptic frequency range ~125-500Hz.
    3. The maximum output voltage is approximately VDD-0.3V.
