I'm working in portable ultrasound echography design.

Wich solutions are to interface 1 AFE5801 and 1 TMS320C6455 ?

Has TMS320C6455  external interface enough speed and capacity  for 12x8 paralell data interface?

Case FPGA solution for data deserialization, some part recommendation?.

Thanks

    AFE5801 has two interfaces:

    1. SPI interface is used to configure the registers of AFE5801. This can be done thru a controller or FPGA.

    2. LVDS interface is used to send serialized ADC output to a deserializer. The deserializer is done using a XILINX FPGA - Vertex 4 (XC4VLX25).

    Javier,

I don't have any direct experience working with the 6455 external interface so can't comment on observed speeds/data rates, but here are some relevant links that might be helpful:

    1. The EMIF user guide for C6455: http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/spru971e/spru971e.pdf

    2. There are some related posts here though of what others have observed with 6455's EMIF interface:
