LM96550 VPF/NPF Power Question

I have a customer from Qualcomm who is asking the following questions:

I want to apply +10V for VPP and -10V for VNN. Please advise what voltage values can be applied to VPF and VNF? What happens if VPF and VNF are just floating (no potential is applied to them).

Can the customer float these pins or does he have to supply a bias in this situation. It seems to be that he needs to supply a bias , but there are other biases on the board and they are not well explained.

Hi Richard,

You are right that VPF & VNF need to be bias. If VPF & VNF are floating, the device will not function & might be damaged too. Does the customer has to use the LM9650? How about the LM9651? This device has internal LDOs for VPF & VNF.

Correction. The device with internal LDOs for VPF & VNF is LM96551, not LM9651 as mention earlier.
