Are there any ways to faciliate the AFE5809 configurations?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE5809, AFE5809EVM

Hi, TI experts:

I am using the AFE5809 to design one project. I found there're lots of registers inside the datasheet.

i found one tool named as AFE5809EVM GUI, while the prerequisite is the EVM board connected with PC,

So my question is:

Q1: are there any tools to faciliate the AFE5809 configurations?

Q2: could you kindly provide an AFE5809EVM GUI in offline mode?  So i will be able to use the tool without of the real EVM

board.

Eagerly expecting your help!

Best wishes,

Eric

  • Q1:  The GUI has a built-in tool to save the current configuration based on any buttons pressed. From there you can easily create/expand the configuration file.  Loading the config file into the device is also easy.

Q2: Please download the GUI from http://www.ti.com/tool/AFE5809EVM  . It has a simulation mode if no hardware is connected.

  • Hi, Chuck:

          Thanks for your help.

When installing the AFE5809EVM GUI, the button "next" is disabled, so i could not proceed further. Any help?

  • Hi, Chuck:

Now i have downloaded the software from the above link, and successfully installed it.

Upon the AFE5809EVM GUI opened, the software pops up "Device Not Found" and "Handle In Use",

After OK pressed, the software shut itself down. I guess it's searching for the EVM board, while i don't have

that board, So are there any ways to enter into the Simulation mode directly?

          Eagerly expecting your insightful reply!

          Thanks in advance!
