[ Question ]
The H-voltage for CMG of IMPACTRON CCD seems to work in conjunction with the electron multiplication. Is it possible to work by providing any bias(DC), not pulse signal?
[ Answer ]
TI's IMPACTRON CCD is executed the electron multiplication during a horizontal transfer. And, since CMG gate doubles as a transfer gate, CMG is needed to be a pulse signal in conjunction with SRG gate pulse.
And, please note a timing of CMG for getting a desirable electron multiplication. This is, CMG should be a High level before SRG1 signal goes forward to a Low level.
