I'm looking for a temperature sensor that is good for measuring human body temperature, with SPI and/or I2C interface, powered from 2 to 3.6 voltage levels, suitable for

low power applications.

Thank you.

    Pari,

I can recommend two options for this application.

The first recommendation is to use a thermocouple combined with the ADS1118. The ADS1118 is a  16-bit analog to digital converter that is very capable in thermocouple applications. The ADS1118 can operate on a supply voltage of 2-5V. The communication interface is SPI and will provide a digital output. There is a lot of support for this device that you can find in the links below. For videos on this application scroll to the bottom of the link below. See page 27 in the datasheet as well.

The second recommendation is to use an RTD combined with the XTR108 device. The XTR108 has an SPI interface and can interface with the RTD providing a current output. Unfortunately the supply voltage is 5V so this may not be the best solution unless you can amplify your supply to provide this.

Please refer to the following thread for the more information regarding RTD measurements.

Let me know if I can provide further assistance.

    Hi Chris,

    Chris Featherstone
The communication interface is SPI and will provide a digital output.

I need the sensor to add to cc2530ZDK; so, it should have SPI/UART interface.Does it have?

    Thanks.

    Hi again,

I read the application note of the thermocouple.According to that, we should always know the temperature of cold side. Moreover, I read the thread about RTD and it seems that it's a good choice; of course with amplifier.

However, do you know other sensors with these characteristics?

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

And another question is does TI have any solution for data gathering node( like gateway with USB port)?

and does TI have any solution for gateway that converts and works with zigbee to cellular?

    Hi Pari,

Let me answer to these questions, since those are not  related to this form.

    1. pari Naseri
And another question is does TI have any solution for data gathering node( like gateway with USB port)?

CC2530ZDK comes with CC2531 USB Dongle, which can act as gateway.
With specific FW loaded into this USB Dongle, you can easily interface it to
a PC with either Widnows or Linux. Z-stack includes several examples.

    2. pari Naseri
and does TI have any solution for gateway that converts and works with zigbee to cellular?

ZigBee to cellular, you should be more specific...

In general pure ZigBee and Z-stack questions should be asked in LPRF forums.

    Br,

    Igor
