Guys,
I have a TMP100 EVM , can I connect it with a ARM development kit via RS232???
Fradaric,
The additional components on the TMP100EVM are used to translate the relatively high signal levels of RS-232 to compatible I2C levels, so from a hardware standpoint it seems possible to use the RS-232 port of an ARM development kit to communicate with the TMP100EVM as long as the ARM kit uses +/-12V RS-232 levels rather than 3.2V levels (see the TMP100EVM user guide). You will however, need to develop your own software for the ARM to communicate with the TMP100 using this interface as the EVM software is meant to be run on a windows PC.
