TMP431 Configuration register pointer address

Hi,

Writing the TMP431 configuration register should be done by setting the pointer address to 0x09.

Yet, it seems that write operation to address 0x03 (the read address of the configuration register) also executes successfully and actually writes to the configuration register.

Am i missing something?

Hello Timur,

My apologies for the delay in getting back with you. We checked on the internal logic to confirm that Write operation to address 0x03 instead of 0x09 will deliver the same result. While this might seem confusing, the intention behind this is to maintain backward compatibility with our remote temperature sensors that belong to similar family of products.
