TSC2017 Evaluation Program Error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSC2017

Hi there,

I have a customer that received the following error:

"Error 1073807202 occured at VISA open in TSC2017EVM.vi"

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Steve

  • Hi Steve,

It seems a setup problem. Have the PC is setup following the 6.1.1 of the user’s guide (SLAU305)? Note that, do not allow the automatic setup and should go through the steps provided in the Section 6.1 of the UG.

    Regards,

    Wendy F.

  • Hi Wendy,

Thanks for your response.  Yes, customer has followed this setup on 2 seperate computers and gets the same error.  Is this a driver issue/conflict?

Also,  does the device need to be calibrated?  For temp?  Upon power-up?  Any limitiations on the device:  8 ohm res network as an example?

    Thanks!

    Steve

  • Steve,

I just double checked this morning with my PC (a new win7 system; and, BTW, the software installer was developed with my old XP system), and everything went well, without any problem.

Ok, is the software installer the latest, from the site ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/evm-pdk/TSC2017/? Does the setup go through OK without any error? If so, you may have the customer call me (214 567 4838) while he have the kit ready.

About your questions:  the answers are all no, and no calibration needed and no anything you mentioned should result in such a problem. The problem should be on the hardware and software setup on the kit and PC.

    The regards,
    Wendy F.

  • Hi,

I tried to install the TSC2017 Evaluation Program for Windows 10 but I have an error message: The Third Partu IFN does not contain digital information signature.

    Could you help me please?

    Thanks,

    Leila

  • Hello Leila,

The TI's resistive touch screen controllers can't work in Windows 10. They can work in Windows 7 and older versions.
