Hi,

Our customer has started to evaluate TSC2004EVM-PDK but they have not been able to operate it on Win7 OS. Please see their evaluation environment listed below and please let me know if I need them to add anything.

GUI : TSC2004EVM Evaluation Tool for Win7 downloaded from ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/evm-pdk/TSC2004/

Driver : NI-VISA-USB Devices

Following pictures are the screen shot of TSC2004EVM Evaluation Tool and condition of EVM.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Your response will be appreciated.

  • Hello Sonoki-san, hello Yoshida-san,

The board setup looks good. Has the customer connected a resistive 4 wire touch panel to the EVM board?

    I don't see a panel connected.

What are the issues the customer is facing?

    Best regards,

    Herbert

  • Hi Herbert-san,

    Thank you for your response.

Now our customer can not communicate with EVM via Win7 OS PC though the Win7 driver is installed. The "USB ACTIVE" LED is not active as photo in my previous post. Here is question from our customer.

    1. Are the SCL and SDA signals not confirmed if the resistive touch panel is connected to EVM?
    2. Is it a normal condition that the USB ACTIVE LED is not active?
    3. Should we setup the EVM and PC to ready to evaluate?

I can share the the additional photo that include panel and its connection with EVM, so please contact me offline at sonoki-s@clv.macnica.co.jp.

    Best Regards,

    Sonoki

  • Hello Sonoki-san,

Since the evaluation software for the TSC2004EVM was designed for Windows XP platform when it was released, you will not able to run the software in a Windows 7 machine even you can successfully install the software.

I suggest you try the same software in a XP machine. That is the only solution now.
