Error -1073807346 occurred at VISA open in TSC2007EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSC2007

A recent question by Don Lyndon, with Andy Liu  concerned an error while trying to connect to the TSC2007EVM using the TI MODEVM interface board.  Their question title was:

TSC2007EVM National Instrument driver problem with Win7

Error -1073807346 occurred at VISA open in TSC2007EVM

Following in Don's footsteps, I tried to install the software, but it is not listed on the Ti website with the product as expected.

However, after reading that post, Andy lists the location of the software on the Ti FTP web site.

 ftp://ftp.ti.com/pub/evm-pdk/TSC2007/

After I installed the software,  right clicked, and chose "run as administrator",  it appeared to complete sucessfully.

I  rebooted, and then ran the software, I got the same error message as Don Lyndon.

Error -1073807346 occurred at VISA open in TSC2007EVM

When I plugged in the EVM,  I then got a pop-up that the software may not have installed properly.

I checked the windows control pannel, and found in the device manager, that the driver for the TSC2007 EVM-PDK was not installed.  It had an exclamation symbol next to it.

I right clicked the TSC2007 EVM-PDK, and went through the steps to install the driver.

I couldent remember exactly where the installation files were stored, but choose  C:\Program Files (x86)  with the checkbox selected to include subdirectories.       This sucessfully found the required driver, and appeared to solve the problem.   I can now run the software, and plug in the EVM with the TSC2007 without error.

I havent tried to use the EVM yet, but will get to that in the next day or so.

Thanks,

Alex
