Replacing TSC2003 with TSC2007

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3517, TSC2003, TSC2007

Hi,

In a project involving AM3517, we are using TSC2003 to manage the touch screen. Now we want to move to TSC2007, since datasheet says they are compatible. But it seems not so easy when we try to do this. We replace TSC2003 with TSC2007 directly on our board, and use TSC2007's driver in linux kernel. When kernel boots up, as long as there is data transferring on the i2c bus, even is not transacting with TSC2007, TSC2007 pulls the bus to low. Then kernel booting fails.

Is there anything need to do when we do the replacement? Thank you!

  • There is an application note available which describes the differences between TSC2003 and TSC2007.
