Part Number: LM5009

Hello team,

I noticed that on the two datasheets from TI and from National, there is a difference regarding the Boost pin BST. Attached are the two DS, lm5009.pdf

NATIONAL_LM5009.pdf

From page 3, "Pin Configuration" of the TI Datasheet you can see:

Whereas on the National DS from 2006, on pag 3 is reported the following:

How do you explain the difference in the suggested capacitor value required on BST pin? Which one should the customer follow for their design?

Please let me know.

Thank you and best regards,

Adrian

  • Hi Adrian,

I would choose the 0.022 uF capacitor since the EVM uses the number

Thank you Arief for helping out!

Would it be possible to elaborate the reason why the two datasheets are different? Any changes in the device itself maybe?

Or is it just a mistake?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Adrian
  • In reply to Adrian Ymeraj:

I believe the TI datasheet has the most updated value for this device.

    Thanks
