Please suggest better power architecture using PMIC or better power modules

  • Asarudeen,

This power tree is blurry and I cannot read all of the numbers clearly.
Can you re-save the block diagram as a higher resolution? Possibly a JPEG or PNG will be better than a PDF.

This appears to be an Industrial application. Is that correct?
What type of FPGA is being powered? Xilinx? Other?

Is there also a Processor that needs to be powered by the PMU? I do not see any labels that indicate a processor specifically.
  • Asarudeen,

Without more information on the application, it would be difficult for me to make a perfect suggestion.

The TPS65023 and LM26480 are both flexible PMICs with external resistor dividers. Some combination of these two products will satisfy most of your requirements and consolidate your design.

You will need a "Pre-regulator" to go from 24V-->3.3V for "Digital Functions" and you will also need a from 24V-->6V for "RF Functions".

If the "RF Functions" block must run off of 9V, then you may want to look at the TPS65262.
