we are in the LAB safety test meet the below issue about charge current too high.
Lab doing below test which is to short charger IC pin20 and 24. then BQ24617 will provide about 4.4A charging current to battery that is over our max charging current (3.6A).
Our input voltage is 23V, battery is 3S about from 9.6~12.6V.
And we also do the same test at BQ24617EVB, the phenomenon is same.
Can you explain why the charging current will become 4.4A? and how to solve this issue?
