My customer is trying to work through a capacitor shortage and is asking if they can replace the recommended 0.1uF boot cap with a 1 uF cap.
I assume increasing this cap would lead to a longer required minimum on-time/decrease the max duty cycle of the converter due to the increase in the amount of time required to charge the cap. Is this correct?
Are there any other changes in behavior they could expect to see, or any other issues to be on the look out for?
