LMR23625: LMR23625 Inductor Input Voltage

Part Number: LMR23625

Hi everyone,

I'll design a board with LMR23625 IC. My input will be 12V and my output will be 3.3V & 5V (There will be 2 ICs.)

My question is when I check the datasheet, I saw inductor Vin was 20V. What does it mean? Should I change to my inductance for 12V ?

Thanks!!

  • Hello,

On Page 21 of the datasheet, you will find the equation for the inductance (equation #12). The VIN_Max used in this equation is 20V. Typically you want to change this VIN value for your maximum input voltage. If VIN=12V is your maximum VIN, then you can use 12V for the calculation.

Please let me know if anything is still unclear.

    Best Regards,
    Katelyn
