TPS543C20: RSN/RSP connection in M/S mode

Part Number: TPS543C20

hi all,

we are designing w/ 2x TPS534C20 in Master/Slave mode.

is it possible to keep RSN/RSP pins of the slave connected to the output?

they should be left floating, I know, but we have multiple variants and in one we need to keep it connected to VOUT (easier layout): does it create some problems?

thanks a lot in advance

KR

Vincenzo

  • Hi Vincenzo,

Yes, you can route RSP/RSN signals to the output with the zero ohm resistors in series then do no-populate those resistors. Also, I would recommend treat this those sense lines in similar care as master such as not near switching node noise coupling, ground plane/island shield those lines.
