BQ40Z60: Questions about Black box recorder and lifetime data collection

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding both the black box and the lifetime data collection.

1- From what I understood, the black box recorder stores the last 3 updates of SafetyStatus(), and whenever a new one occurs, it overwrites the oldest one. Is there some overwriting for Lifetime data collection as well?

2- Is Lifetime data collection recommended? How much does it affect the IC performance if enabled?

Marie,

I do recommend enabling LT data collection. There is no performance hit because of capturing the data. LT data gets updated when any condition met earlier is exceeded. For eg if your current temp is > lt temp, it will be updated and so on.
