Linux/BQ25882: How to know real battery temperature with REG21/22

Hi,

I am adopting bq25882 charger IC for an Android device.

According to the data sheet, REG21 returns TS as percentage of REGN. But I would like to know real temperature not percentage.

Please let me know how to convert the percentage to tempearture.

Actually, I am a S/W engineer and implementing a function returning a real battery temperature with bq2588x_read_ts_temp(). But the function gives a percentage of REGN.

I would lke to know source codes returning a battery temperature from BQ25882.

Sun,

The charger can only provide the TS pin voltage read as read by the ADC. The host software/firmware must have the 2 equations per the application note in order to determine battery temperature.
