TPS92630-Q1: External pullup resistor on Fault pin?

Hi team,

TPS92630-Q1 has an internal pull up for fault pin, but a customer wanted to use external pull-up resistor, 100kohm. The fault will be connected to 3.3V MCU and fault_S will not be used. Is it okay for the external pull up?

One more question.

Form a thermal point of view, which is recommended in the following two cases?
a. one TPS92630-Q1 enabled with 150mA and two disabled TPS92630-Q1
b. three TPS92630-Q1 enabled with each 50mA

Hi Sam,

It is ok to use the 100kOhm pull up resistor. Although there is no need to do this, because there is already typical 8uA pull up circuit on fault pin.

For the output channel, there is no typical thermal difference to set one channel 150mA or set three channels 50mA, as the thermal conduction speed is quick enough.
