Hello Sir,

Previous Conversation i have ask you Battery Cycle Count related problem in which i ask that Battery Cycle count is Corrupted and according to your suggestion that in a second we should only read once. so i implemented the same and battery cycle count is not getting corrupted. but one further problem has occurred.As i put our machine on testing for battery after a charging and discharging battery cycle count should incremented by one but in this case our battery cycle count is incremented by two counts.for cycle first count is increased at 95% or above that and second count is incremented in between 20%-25%.So please could you tell us what precaution we should take so that we can not face the same problem.

Cycle count changes when the dsg is incremented by cc threshold. Please adjust your threshold appropriately. A good value to use would be 90% of your design capacity.

Hello,

we have set CC threshold 90% of full Capacity and On 90% it will Incremented correctly but our Problem is Battery Cycle Count increment at 20-30% of battery.We have read all you BQ34Z950 related Notes and we use proper Calibration process for battery as you mention in your RM. If you need we can provide you configuration file.Please find solution for this problem.

We are observing battery pack since from 10 days. we faced that after 2-3 days battery cycle count are incremented by 2 for a single cycle. i will send log file on tomorrow.

for this time we connect our battery to power supply.Before connecting to power supply we made battery cycle count to 1024 through TI EV2300 Utility. while we connect battery to Power supply battery was 5%.Me made one whole cycle of charging .At the end of charging Battery cycle count was 1024. Now through TI EV2300 Utility we connect for Logging . We found that for discharging battery cycle count is incremented 2 times. First Time It incresed at 65% and Second time it incremwented at 7-8 %. I am Uploading logging file please check.

No,

I don't want the senc file. I want the export of the dataflash. Go to dataflash tab, do a read all, then export the file in a text format. I can't debug this with your senc file as I don't have an evm on which to load it.

Change your cc threshold to your cell manufacturer's design capacity or 90% of your Qmax. You've not done either.

As per your Previous suggestion we have already made our CC threshold to 6000 , but we find same thing that its incrementing by 2. whichever you resived file that i have taken from our other dept.
as in previous instant , due to your site problem i can not upload .gg file directly so we took same file from our other dept. but i can assure you that i have used file contaning 6000 CC threshold . Please look toward problem , and give me solution ASAP.

You can clearly see that cycle count changes after 4012mAh passed chg. I can only go by the evidence that you have shown here. Please change it to your design capacity and then reset the gauge and run the test again. Cycle count is simple and only uses CC threshold. There are no other variables to it.

Hello Batt,
whatever you have said thats true but now from 5 days i have testing the same software having CC value 6000. and still i found that the battery cycle count is incrementing by 2. I did calibaration after the CC value changes .

Please do this. Chg your cell completely. Go to df and reset cycle count to 0. Send the reset and IT enable commands. Make sure VOK is set before you start dsg. Start logging RAM at 1s or 4s interval and df at 1 min interval. Run your dsg. Send me those logs and gg fliles zipped here.

CC count should not give you such problems. It really uses only the accumulated dsg to increment how many times the battery has been cycled.

Hello Batt,

As per your previous suggestions, we made one charging and discharging cycle.After cycle we find that Battery Cycle count is Perfectly working.but for validation we need to take one more cycle.I am uploading you log file of our current cycle(Which completed succesfully). and a day after tommarrow i will upload second cycle.
