LM5041EVAL: additional Feedback components

Dear Sir,

LM5041EVAL board is having a feedback circuit with some more additional components compared to the basic feedback circuits. I am having following doubts regarding components:

1. D12 maybe used for clamping the voltage, but what is the exact purpose and advantage of adding this diode in the feedback circuit.

2. purpose and advantage of Diode (D6) used in the reference voltage section of the feedback.

3. 20K used in series for the 1.2V reference of the first Error amplifier only. Do we have to use a series resistor ? what are the advantages?

Hi Nesh,

D12 is placed to prevent the output saturation of U4A at the start-up stage.
The RC circuit composed of R39 and C37 is used for the soft-start of the reference voltage at non-inverting input of U4A.
D6 is used to discharge C37 after power-off in order to ensure the soft-start of the reference voltage at non-inverting input of U4A at next power-on.
