BQ27530EVM: Gas gauge charging parameters

I'm using BQ27GDK000EVM with BQ27530EVM everything seems to work. I can charge and discharge my battery.

1. Although I'm unable to get device to charge battery to any other voltage than 4.2V, that appears to be default value. I can read and write from data memory, but it seems that these numbers do not take action. Are these (see picture below) the only three requirements for charging termination? Or is it related with Chemistry chosen?

2. What impact on charging does chosen Chemistry has? I don't see it changing any other memory parameters than "Chem ID".

3. Can I control Charging type (CC/CV) ? Now it is charging with CV.

-The charging voltage of the gdk is configurable. You can set it to your value within the limits the GDK can handle.
-Charging has no impact tot he cell chem id.
-You configure the gdk to for cc/cv charge profile. Pls see the trm for the device.

1. What are these limits in my case? Where can I find them?

2. I meant to ask if Chem ID has an impact on parameters set in "Data memory section" in bqStudio.

3. I cant find how to control charging characteristics. Can you guide me to the document?

1.The limits of charge current is stated in the user guide. it is 2A. www.ti.com/.../sluuao1a.pdf
2, The chem id is programmed in the DF. If you have a wrong chem id, learning will fail and you will not have good accuracy from the gauge.

The gdk has a plugin in bqstudio that allows you set the charging current, taper conditions, discharge current etc.

How can I limit the maximum charging current during the MLC (multi-level charging) mode? For all levels the same.

I would like to set it to 1A, because my end product power supply cant supply more.

That will be set in the charge current limit. Please refer to the TRM section under charger configuration.
