Hi All,
I have a customer question regarding LED driver.
I identified the TPS61165DBVR. which perhaps is a bit oversized but I like the topology in which the ILED does not pass through a MOS as in the case of the TPS61042 (with Q2 which strongly limits the current to 60mA compared to the 500mA of Q1 capability).
The specifications are:
• 5V input voltage;
• No. of LEDs to drive 4 strings of 3 white (Hi-Eff).
• Current required from 100mA to 150mA. 100mA required but I would like the application to be robust and I would say not to go below 150mA
• Output voltage to be imposed on the string: 9.3V +/- 1V (hence from 8.3V to 10.3V)
• Preferred package, SMD, SOT (I'd like it to have visible pins for possible re-machining of prototypes)
The Application Field is a ForkLift
