Part Number: BQ25890H
Please kindly suggest if BQ25890H can communicate with MCU to support fuel gauge?
How BQ25890H communicate with MCU? by I2C?
Thanks a lot for answer!
Please kindly also provide the related reference design for gauge function, or personal electronics reference design using BQ25890H. Thanks a lot!

In reply to Sean Liao (Yu-Sheng):
BQ25890H has I2C registers for setting charge parameters, reporting status/faults and a 7-bit ADC. There is no gauge that is specifically designed to operate with the BQ25890H so you can choose whatever gauge that you want. You would then need to develop your own host software to communicate via I2C with both the charger and the gauge. I am not aware of a reference design that uses the BQ25890H and a gauge. Drivers for the BQ2589X family can be found at github.com/.../power.

Thanks for your answer, Can the 7-bit ADC in BQ25890H be used to report basic battery life information to MCU via I2C?
Yes. If you do this, I recommend disabling charge before taking the ADC measurement in order to remove the extra voltage from the charge current times parasitic resistance.
