We found some problem on the current waveform during output short circuit.
When the OR-ing MOS Vgs turned off,we found the current is still positive. Is it correct? LM5050 issue.xlsx

Hello,
I am looking at the results, let me get back to you in detail later today.
Regards,
Kari.
Hello,
Apologies for a delayed response.
I was able to look at the test waveform and schematic now, and it is not expected to turn off before the current unless you have some capacitor which is providing current (before the current measuring loop).
Can you please check this and confirm?
Regards,
Kari.
Hi Kari,
thanks for your reply.
output without capacitor load, we also find the OR-ing MOS Vgs turned off when the current is positive.
please reference the attachment waveform.6472.LM5050 issue.xlsx
Hi
This is not an expected behaviour, unless the particular IC is faulty. Is this seen on all boards or systems?
Please confirm if the short current (CH4) is monitored on the right place. It should be on the point indicated in the schematic.
Is it possible to test with a new IC and get a very zoomed waveform.
Please note that the reverse turn off time is 50ns and need more time scale resolution to see what actually is happening.
us timescale may not reveal actual behavior.
Regards,
Kari.
