Hi,

I create a DC/DC power design in webench Power Design with this spec:

VIN = 1.5V...2.8V;
Vout = 3.3V;
Imáx = 0.5A when transmit data during 10s;
Inom < 50uA in sleep mode (most of time).

My board is powered with 2xCR2477(1000mAh each) battery.

The most efficiency design was with TPS61022RWUR but for my application I think the Quiescent Current is to high (around 27uA).

Can you suggest another IC with lower Quiescent Current?

Dir Sir,

I searched the CR2477 datasheet and it says the minimum voltage is 2V. Do you have FAE to support you? Please let FAE contact me via email.

Hi,

The minium voltage is 2 volts but i´m using the batteries in parallel and I use a schottky diode to prevent reverse current and the forward voltage range is [0.2...0.5]V.

Hi Pereira,

Right now there is low Iq device that could support so low Vin and high output current.

TPS61099 is a low Iq device but the switch current limit is only 0.8A. So when battery voltage drops to 1.5V, the input current needs to be 3.3V*0.5/1.5/0.9=1.22A. But if minimum Vin is 2V, the input current could be 3.3V*0.5A/2/0.9= 0.91A.

Is there any FAE could support your company?

We may have a new device that has low Iq and bigger current limit level at the end of next year.
