LM25085: buck converter LM25085 not working as expected when loaded

Part Number: LM25085

Hi,

We designed custom buck converter (LM25085) using web bench  for

input voltage = 10.1 V to 12.6V

output voltage = 9.8V

current  output = 8A

Resistive load =1.8 to 2 ohm

output voltage when

  • load is connected = 3.25V, 2.2A
    • voltages at the following pins are
    • Adj= 11.70V
    • RT= 1.70V
    • FB= 0.38V
    • Vin = 12.08V
    • Vcc= 4.33V
    • Pgate = 10.74V
    • Isns= 12.07V
    • When the voltage is   measured across adj and gnd, the measured voltage is 11.67V and the output current goes up to 4A
  • load is not connected = 9.76V
    • adj= 12.1V
    • rt= 1.77V
    • fb= 1.24V
    • Vin= 12.28V
    • Vcc= 4.51V
    • Pgate= 12.25V
    • Isns= 12.28V

The inductor ( SMMS1050-1R2M)  gets heated.

the datasheet of inductor is attached below

Could you please suggest what might have gone wrong?

Thank-you

Warm regards
