Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2597, LM2595
Hello E2E,
There is written SD/SS in the absolute max ratings table. Is it mean for same with ON/OFF-pin?

The LM2596 has only an "on/off" or "shutdown" control for controlling the device.
Other devices in the family, such as the LM2597, have more features; such as a combined shutdown and soft-start pin called SD/SS.
The LM2596 and LM2595 have a simple on/off and no external soft start. The rating for the LM2596 and LM2595 on/off pin is -0.3V to
25V. For the LM2597 SD/SS pin it is 6V. There seems to be different version of the LM2596 data sheet that is causing the confusion.
