Hi,

Please help me.!!!

My BQ76PL455EVM was working properly till last few hours. But now its not waking up. ie Power led is not lighting.

I have checked with the FTDI Settings and tried with another PC.The Same is happening.

With GUI im getting "Unable to open com Port" message.

What should i do??

Hi Francis,

HAve you try diff port?

Have you try unplug USB cable and plug back?

Hi Hwang ,
I tried with all the PC ports and with another PC.
I think problems occurred when i connected 2.5 voltage to the thermistor pin, to check the AUX output.But that time i got the correct adc value from the AUX channel.

How can i check if there is any problem with the bq76pl455A-Q1 IC in the eval board??

Do you have spare USB cable?
If yes then try it.

There are many test points on the evm.
Please check test points and send the value to me.
VIO, VDIG, V5VAO,TX, RX, TOP....

I do get same errors time to time but It goes away if I unplug and plug.

I am wondering how you applied voltage to AUX.
I think you friend me so you can send me private message if you don't want to disclose your problems here.

These are the test point voltages.
VIO=4.95V
VDIG=0V
V5VAO=4.6V
TX=4.95V
RX=5V
TOP= 24.2V (6 cells)

Everything above looks normal for a device that is in shutdown mode.

What is the level of the WAKEUP test point? If you short WAKEUP to VIO, does the LED light up?

Wakeup is 5.04V when USB adapter is connected and initialised.

If I remove the USB adapter and short WAKEUP to VIO the led just briefly flashes.
