My application will not accomidate a shunt. Can I use the BQ76940 without a shunt? If so what do I do with the SRP and SRN pins on the chip? I was planing to use a hall effect current sensor direct to the micro

If not using the shunt, recommend to tie SRP and SRN to the device VSS.
Use of the Hall effect output ( typically digital) into the micro is a good idea as long there is adequate
bandwidth to the inputs of the digital I/O of the micro.
thanks
