BQ76PL536A: Power consumption in sleep

Part Number: BQ76PL536A

Hi,

I got a question regarding the power consumption of the BQ76PL536A in sleep.
When the BQ goes into sleep (low power mode), the first device (connected to the CPU via SPI) takes 10-20[uA], which is according to spec. However, the second and third device consume around 90[uA] and the last device even 150[uA].
The sleep state is entered by setting the sleep bit in the IO_Control register and setting and clearing the sleep status bit in the ALERT_STATUS register. Power consumption of all BQ's also drops significantly compared to active state, however not near the specified 12[uA]

No external circuitry is connected to the device except for some NTCs that are connected to REG50 which gets disabled in sleep.

Does anyone know why the supply current is higher than the 12-20[uA] as stated in the datasheet (ICCsleep) for the upper BQs?

Best regards,

Marald
