BQ76PL455EVM: Voltage at Vm pin

Part Number: BQ76PL455EVM

Dear all,

I have been able to use the BQ76PL455 EVM with GUI extensively to gain a sufficient understanding of the IC functions. However, I have ran into some trouble. The GUI opens but when I poll cell voltages I am getting a flat zero for all cells. I checked voltages at test points. They are as follows:-

Top - 55.6V

Vdig, Vm, V5VAO - 5.3V

Vref 2.5V

Vm - 0V

As per datasheet, Vm pin must be at -5V. Does this mean that the chip is damaged/blown. Is there any fix for this. I would like to know probable causes, if any for Vm pin to fall to 0V.

Would like some help on understanding the issue.

Regards,

Rohan
