BQ29200: Simplified Balancing Application

I'm looking for a low cost solution to balance over 100 series Li Ion cells.  I would like to use the BQ29200 in the following configuration:

I don't need OVP, just balancing.  Since I have to repeat the circuit over 100 times, I was wondering if I could eliminate all peripheral components except R_CB as shown:

    Hi Sean,
    OUT is an output and you can leave it open if not used.
    The CD pin will source or sink current so I would leave it open essentially a very small capacitance for a fast response on the output you don't plan to use.
    The inputs will typically need the filters to prevent damage from transients from the cells. The part needs the power filter for VDD to operate properly.
