Does the BQ24750A support trickle charge for the battery? I can't seem to find any mention of it in the datasheet.
If not does this mean we need to provide this fuctionality on the batteries fuel gauge/protection circuit?
I have had some previous experience with single cell battery chargers and the onus was always on the charger to provide the trickle charge function. Is this different with the newer multicell chargers?
bq24750A doesn't support the pre-charge function. But, bq24751B and bq24753 provide the pre-charge function when the battery voltage lower than the VBAT_SHORT threshold.
There is a comparison table for those devices. http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/slua498
