Is it possible to multiple battery packs with onely one BQ24707 that is controlled by a MSP430?
I don't see a possibility to control the load current of every battery then.
It can not support multiple battery packs directly. But, if you have your own control logic to control two back to back FETs in front of each battery pack. I think it is possiable.
Would't that be a waste? I mean the advantage of the bq24707 is that it can control the load current of a battery dependent on data given by a master coontroller.
If i use 2 batteries and have to control the load current of each battery by the master controller, this advantage is usesless.
Would't it be better to uses separate DC/DC Converters for each battery?
And how do you control the current flowing into each battery? if you use back to back MOSFETs, you can only turn them either OFF or ON.
I would like to have all batteries loaded at the same time.

Do the two battery packs have the same chemistry and cell count? Can you short two battery pack together? If not, you still need back to back FETs between them.
