Hi everybody

I am looking for a device able to charge nicd batteries and stop charging using temperature control. The charging is low rate (c/10,c/12)

I found such a device at TI but now I can not find it any more!!!!

I remember that it had low temperature monitoring, a high temperature monitoring and other features

Any ideas?

For the charge current less than C/3, it's difficult to use dT/dt, peak voltage, and -delta V for charging termination detection since the temperature rise is too small to change the battery internal resistance. The only way to terminate the battery charging relys on the safety timer bq2002 family products have safety timer.
For charge current above C/3, then we can use the dT/dt, peak volatge, Delta V for charging termination.
