PCB design problem with BQ24210 and its Eagle cad library!

Hi,

we are developing the PCB for the electronic inside our new product. We are using your BQ24210, but in its datasheet there isn't any indication or consideration on pcb layout, in addition we are using Eagle CAD like PCB CAD, but we didn't find any library for the BQ24210 IC.
When is it possible to get PCB layout specifications and the Eagle CAD library of BQ24210 IC?  When people have to design a PCB with BQ24210 IC, what do they use? Tips?

We hope in a quick answer
Thanks

    Hi,

Details of the available packages are given under "Mechanical Data" at the end of the datasheet.

You have to add the part in Eagle Library using these dimensions. Symbol also needs to be entered in the schematic library

    Regards,

    JayantD.

Hi and thanks for your answer,

In the datasheet of bq24210 there are only size specifications of the IC, but there aren't specifications about the PCB layout. If there isn't a eagle cad library, I believe that the size specifications of pads layout are necessary in order to design an appropriate PCB!
Is there anyone that made a PCB with the bq24210 IC?
Is there anyone that know eagle cad library for bq24210 IC?
Is there anyone that already made PCB layout of pads for bq24210 IC?
    Thanks
    Giuseppe

I already read this guidelines, but in my opinion they are too generals. There is only one general example board layout (page 12). I don't know if I can use these specification for bq24210 board layout, who does it ensure this to me? Moreover, what is the right way to design the thermal pad? The example in these guidelines regarding an IC too different than bq24210.
    I have still my problem!

    Hi,

A google search came out with the following links:

    http://www.ti.com/lit/an/sloa122/sloa122.pdf

    http://www.freescale.com/files/rf_if/doc/app_note/AN3778.pdf

    http://www.intersil.com/data/tb/TB389.pdf

This should give you an idea about how to proceed.

    I have still my problem!

In case you are expecting someone to upload a readymade eagle library, then I'm sorry,..!
