BQ25504, total resistance of dividers must be exactly 10M/20M ohm?
The datasheet gives the recommended total resistance should be 10M (OV/UV/VBAT_PROG/VBAT_HYST) or 20M (MPPT). Other than reducing leakage current, is there any other reason to do so? Since the calculated resistance value is not standard, it's hard to purchase the resistor.
+/- 5% is okay.
Are the large values to just keep the low Q current? Is there a problem with lowering the total R than specified. +/-5% is not much difference. I was hoping to reduce by almost a factor of 10. I am aware that my total current consumption will increase, but it is worth the stability.
Large resistor values are recommended to keep the low Iq. Lowering the resistors will not cause stability issues.
