needss battery charger IC for below combination

Hi,

I am Aravind. I kindly need the battery charger solution for the below combination from TI for one of my customer.

the  battery charger should have the ability to charge 4 numbers of 3.7V 830mAh Lithium-polymer batteries, 2 numbers of 14.8V 5080mAh Lithium-Ion batteries and one 11.1v 2200mAh Li-Poly battery. Additionally this device should support the use of two 5V USB ports for external devices (no USB communication, only for DC power 5VDC +/-5%, 0.5A)

Input voltage to the battery charger shall be 18VDC.

Kindly help me out.

Regards,

Aravind.

  • Hello Aravind,

If you could filter your question into a table to explain what battery configurations you are looking to charge that would make finding a solution easier..

CASE # Cells in Series Battery Regulation Voltage Charge Current

Along with this information you will need to explain what you mean by the USB outputs.

From what you have laid out there is not going to be a single chip solution. It is possible that there might be a charger that could be configured as needed by a host MCU to charge the variety of batteries that you have listed and a number of TI devices have USB OTG capabilities but this supports a single port.

Please utilize the parametric search tool with the most extreme parameters to help narrow your search for a charger and post what you find.
