BQ24133 - the width of output-voltage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24133

Hello,
I use 3-cell-battery. I connect VREF-terminal and CELL-terminal.
CELL-terminal is 3.3V.
The output-voltage becomes like this then.
 board-1   12.6V
 board-2   13.7V
 board-3   13.3V
Is this width correct?
Only TYP is written as 12.6V on page-7 of the data-sheet.
MAX is written as 13.5V on page-6 of the data-sheet.

Regards,
Daisuke

  • Hello Daisuke-san,

With the cell pin pulled to Vref it shoudl regulate to a target voltage of 12.6V with an accuracy of +-0.5%. This would make the max expected variation at the SRN pin to be approximately 12.66V

Where are you measuring the voltage on the board? Is it right at the SRN pin of the BQ24133?

In fact for the case of Board 2 and Board 3 the Bat OVP should be triggering at 13.1V.

What else do you have attached the battery rail?
