Hello,

we have a circuit, see attached image.

The power consumption is very low (10uA at 3,3V).

We have a Lipo, that will be charged from the bq24040. When the bq24040 is in the circuit, the power consumption is much to high (350uA). Then we put the bq24040 out of the circuit, the current was down to 10uA.

In the datasheet, there is only 1uA, that is going into the OUT pin.

Do you have any ideas, what could be the problem of that?

With no power applied to IN, the leakage current into OUT should be 1uA per the spec. It is is higher, then there is another load in the system or the IC is damaged. What is the voltage on each pin of the bq24040 when you measure 350uA?

Hi Jeff,

we have this problem on every pcb, so it won't be a damaged IC, I think.

On the IN pin, we can measure 1V (only a battery on the OUT pin). The other pins are nearly 0V voltage.
