BQ24192I Input current limit

Dear Sir

When I insert adapter to my system and finish to program register of BQ24192I 

And then I replug my adapter ,but I find only the register of input current limit will be changed to default value ,but other register still keep original value? (Above experiment is include battery on the board)

The EVM has the same result 

Have any document to explain this behavior?

    Hi Kai, 

     

    This is expected behavior. As long at the IC has power supplied by either VBUS or BAT the register values which are programmed will remain as long as the watchdog, 'reset register' bit or a few other conditions are not triggered which may reset or modify only certain settings. 

    When you plug and unplug the adapter, the bq24192i device will check the input source voltage and input current limit and adjust the input current limit settings accordingly.  You can see a complete description of this process starting on page 21 of the datasheet.
