bq24650 EVM Power consumption

Dear all.

When only battery is connected in the circuit of EVM, the device is disabled by MPPSET.
Is the power consumption 5uA? (or 1mA?)

  • It depends on VBAT and VCC voltage levels. Referring to page 4 of the datasheet, it shows the specs for IBAT and IAC.

    QUIESCENT CURRENTS

    Total battery discharge current (sum of

    currents into VCC, BTST, PH, SRP, SRN, VCC < VBAT, VCC > VUVLO (SLEEP) 15 μA

    VFB), VFB 2.1V

    IBAT Battery discharge current (sum of currents VCC > VBAT, VCC > VUVLO, CE = LOW 5 μA

    into BTST, PH, SRP, SRN, VFB), VFB VCC > VBAT, VCC > VVCCLOWV, 5 μA 2.1V CE = HIGH, Charge done

    VCC > VBAT, VCC > VUVLO, CE = LOW 0.7 1 mA

    Adapter supply current (sum of current into VCC > VBAT, VCC > VVCCLOWV, 2 3 mA IAC VCC pin) CE = HIGH, charge done

    VCC > VBAT, VCC > VVCCLOWV, 25 mA
