Hello Team,

I'd like to perform replacement of LTC4080 (LTC）with TI Devices.

The solution of LTC is 1-chip.

Could you please tell me appropriate 1-chip TI Devices?

The specifications requested by my customer is as follows.

competition device: LTC4080

Battery: 1cell, Li-ion
Input supply voltage: 5V from USB
Supply voltage to System: 1.9V/20mA(MAX)
Charge current: 30mA
Control: Stand alone

The closest fit is the bq25010. However, it was not tested to charge with less than 50mA of charge current or terminate less than 5mA of termination. It will operate at lower current values but the accuracy will be worse.

Hello Jeff,

I'd like to ask you some additional questions for BQ25010.

I understood IOUT(BAT) accuracy as the following but is this correct if my customer want to set the charge current: 30mA?

R(SET)=K(SET)(typ) × V(SET) / IOUT(BAT)=320 x 2.5 / 0.03 = 26666.67 ohm

IOUT(BAT)(min)=K(SET)(min) × V(SET) / 26666.67 = 27.75 mA

IOUT(BAT)(typ)=K(SET)(typ) × V(SET) / 26666.67 = 30 mA

IOUT(BAT)(max)=K(SET)(max) × V(SET) / 26666.67 = 32.437 mA

Also the TEST CONDITIONS of K(SET) has Iout = less than 50mA however why doesn't IOUT(BAT) range have it?

KSET is specified below 50mA so your calculations should be correct. Regarding the IOUT(BAT) specification having a minimum of 50mA, I suspect it is because the termination current minimum is 5mA, which would be 10% of 50mA. ITERM=5mA is the lowest we test and therefore can warranty.
