USB-to-GPIO issue

Hi,

I have one USB-to-GPIO Adapter. I used it with my UCD3138 EVM, no Problem. Than I have to evaluate the bq24261 and so I used the bq24261 EVM with the Adapter. I get a message, that I have to update the Firmware of the adapter, for what reason ever and than it worked out.

But now, I have to work with my UCD3138 EVM, but the PC and Design Fusion Software didn#t found my USB-to-GPIO Adapter any more. This seems to be a lethal update!!!!

Switching back to bq24261 EVM works ...

Do I Need Special USB-to-GPIO Adapter for each EVM?

Urgent help needed.

    For most of our EVMs, the EVM software developer includes code to autodetect the USBtoGPIO box firmware version at software startup and update if necessary (like the bq24261EVM software did).  I suggest posting a question in the appropriate forum for the UCD3138.  Perhaps they have a failsafe for this.  If not, you will have to order another USBtoGPIO box that is configured for the UCD3138.
